Kate + Saul | May 2024

Sarah was absolutely AMAZING from start to finish! We couldn’t have asked for anyone better to write and conduct our ceremony

It was a hot May afternoon, the day school sweethearts Kate and Saul got married. And the sunshine just made everything pop: the bright white ceremony room of Newcastle’s Secret Tower, the ridiculously gorgeous, vibrant flowers, the mismatched zesty hues of the bridesmaids’ dresses. Everything just glistened and glowed, up in the rooftop venue looking out over the city. Including myself, I was really “glowing” in my suit I have to tell you.

Kate and Saul’s ceremony felt like a real celebration of young love (I mean, you just saw their faces in those photos!), having met at school at 13 they really have been together…forever. Their old school headmaster was even a guest at the wedding…but that wasn’t a surprise since he’s the groom’s dad.

It’s always fun, telling the story of how a couple met and got together, but we were able to have some real laughs reminiscing about the things you say and do when you fancy someone as a young teen. And it didn’t escape my notice how into each other they still are, there were happy tears sharing what they loved about each other, they clung to each other’s hands and snuck kisses and threw their heads back and laughed and laughed. It was the most beautiful, free-to-be-yourself love, and I loved being witness to it.

Too adorable, what a pair

And then, being a fan of BBC’s Race Across the World and having just watched the South East Asia series, I was fascinated to see instagram glimpses from their honeymoon travels around South Korea. What a brilliant destination to pick! What a brilliant couple.

It was everything we wanted and more
